Fleetville Volunteer Fire Company: Growing Stronger, Together

As another year draws to a close, the Fleetville Volunteer Fire Company (FVFC) reflects with deep gratitude on the incredible strength, generosity, and unity of the community we serve. For 77 years, the men and women of Station 63 have answered every call with courage and compassion—protecting lives, property, and the heart of Fleetville and Benton Township.

We are proud to be a 100% volunteer organization, and we could not do what we do without the unwavering support of our friends, neighbors, and local businesses. Your generosity is what fuels our mission.

A Year of Growth and Dedication

This past year marked tremendous progress for our department.

Sixteen members completed the demanding Firefighter I certification, each investing more than 160 hours in training to master essential firefighting skills.
And Two additional members earned EMT certification, dedicating nearly 200 hours to enhance our ability to respond to medical emergencies.

These accomplishments reflect the deep commitment of our volunteers—ordinary people who give extraordinary time, energy, and heart to protect their community. Every hour of training and every response call represents a promise: that Fleetville’s volunteers will always be ready when the call comes.

Your Support in Action

Your donations turn community spirit into real, life-saving impact. Thanks to your support through fundraisers like the Fleetville Fall Fair, Turkey Bingo, and our holiday raffles and events, we’ve been able to:

Equip firefighters with updated gear, radios, and training tools
Maintain and improve apparatus and facilities
Strengthen our safety and communication systems for faster, more effective response.

And now, we’re preparing for one of our largest investments yet—the purchase of new self-contained breathing apparatus (air packs), an estimated $200,000 project that will protect our firefighters in the most dangerous conditions.

While FVFC serves 100% of Fleetville and Benton Township residents, only 22% of our operational budget is funded by taxes—and in past years, just 23% of the community contributed through our annual fund drive.

Yet, every dollar truly makes a difference.
A small donation of $25.00 goes a long way, but please be as generous as these times allow. Your contribution—whether $25, $50, $100, or more—helps us protect your home, your family, and your future.

While we cannot do what we do without brave men and women running in while others run away, you don’t have to be a firefighter to make a difference. The Fleetville Volunteer Fire Company is powered not only by those who respond to emergencies, but also by an incredible team of support members who help make our fundraising events and community outreach possible. From organizing raffles and dinners to helping at the Fleetville Fall Fair, our support teams are vital to meeting our goals and sustaining our mission.

We also proudly welcome our Junior Firefighters (ages 14–17)—the future of our company and the wind beneath our wings. The Junior program gives young community members hands-on experience, valuable training, and the chance to serve alongside our firefighters in a safe, guided environment.
